The Dutch trade mission visited Serbia

Last week was very interesting: the Dutch trade mission was in Serbia!  With a very tight schedule, we visited three regions important for the production of berries.

The agriculture team of the embassy organized a trade mission in the soft fruit sector in Serbia. Eleven Dutch companies have participated and together with the embassy team they have visited different parts of Serbia.

The program consisted out of a series of company visits, field trips and meetings. During the trade mission blueberry-, raspberry-and strawberry- fields have been the main focus. The outcomes are really positive and promise further development in this specific sector.

Trade missions can provide a good insight into the opportunities of a promising market. Companies are given the chance to explore the possibilities of establishing new cooperation or to improve already good cooperation in this field. Here is an overview of the trade mission this week.

After all the visits and many miles traveled, we had a final meeting on Friday at the Dutch Embassy to collect impressions and discuss the next steps.

All praise to the Embassy of the Netherlands in Serbia and in Montenegro for the initiative, as well as Mila Mirkovich for the realization.

We hope that we will soon have the opportunity to see the concrete results that should come from this mission.
