This year’s Conference and New Steps Towards Advancing Entrepreneurship in Serbia

I, ENTREPRENEUR, a project dedicated to inspiring and educating entrepreneurs in Serbia, continues to fulfill its mission of supporting entrepreneurs and promoting entrepreneurship. Since its founding in September 2018, this project has become a key platform for sharing experiences and knowledge among entrepreneurs in the region.

Today, I, ENTREPRENEUR, represents a top-notch initiative that has not only won the hearts of entrepreneurs in Serbia but also throughout the Balkans.

Over the past five years of continuous work and dedication, I, ENTREPRENEUR, has achieved significant success. This project has created and produced over 90 episodes on its YouTube channel, featuring esteemed male and female entrepreneurs from Serbia, including Miroslav Mišković (Delta), Nebojša Šaponjić (Nelt), Mila Litvinjenko (Aura), Sanja Jakovljević (Beorol), Bojan Leković (KupujemProdajem), Branko Babic (PhiAcademy), Nebojša Matić (Mikroelektronika), Vladan Jaković (Gigatron), Goran Kovačević (Gomex), Ljiljana Karaklajić (Dexpress), and many others. This valuable experience and knowledge have been shared with audiences across the Balkans, bridging generations of entrepreneurs.

The project further expanded by creating a Facebook group called “I, Entrepreneur,” which now has over 50,000 members. This group has become a central hub for networking among entrepreneurs, exchanging experiences, and establishing valuable business connections.

Through the “I, Entrepreneur Club,” various cities in Serbia are visited each month, organizing events where entrepreneurs can educate themselves, network, and make valuable contacts. The club also offers various benefits to its members to support the growth of their businesses.

In November 2021, I, ENTREPRENEUR organized the first entrepreneurial conference in the Balkans, which garnered significant attention from the business community. The following year, in 2022, a second successful conference was held. These events brought together entrepreneurs from various sectors, giving them the opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences.

In 2022, I, ENTREPRENEUR received a special recognition – it was declared the national winner of the European Entrepreneurship Promotion Awards (EEPA) in Serbia. This prestigious trophy confirmed the project’s importance and impact on entrepreneurship in the country. I, ENTREPRENEUR was also a European finalist, representing Serbia proudly on the international stage among only 14 countries.

Continuing to grow and expand, I, ENTREPRENEUR extended its activities to the Adria region. Conferences were held in Banja Luka and Podgorica, broadening the project’s influence throughout the entire Balkans.

This year brings even more innovations and support for entrepreneurs. The first pro bono conference aimed at students was held in Belgrade to help future entrepreneurs gain a clearer understanding of entrepreneurship.

The I, ENTREPRENEUR project received additional recognition from the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, which recognized its importance in promoting family businesses. The Family Business section was established on October 16, 2023, and Đorđe Petrović, the series’ author, was elected as its president.

The latest event in the series of I, ENTREPRENEUR activities is the third annual I, Entrepreneur Conference, which will take place on November 1st and 2nd, 2023. You can find details about this conference here.

Some of the speakers and panelists at this year’s conference include Žaklina Bojović (Unipromet), Nebojša Šaponjić (Nelt), Darko Bjeloglav (PerSu), Petar Ćorluka (Violeta), Rasim Memagić (ALMA RAS), and many others.

On the second day of the conference, participants can look forward to a concert by the brilliant Nikola Rokvić!
